FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHATHAM-KENT-LEAMINGTON – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Trevor Jones has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Chatham-Kent—Leamington in the next provincial general election.

Since his election as MPP for Chatham-Kent—Leamington in 2022, Trevor Jones has been a strong advocate for his community. With a law enforcement background and a focus on public safety, he has championed local infrastructure, supported the agricultural sector, and worked to attract major investments to create local jobs.

“Trevor has been an incredible representative for the people of Chatham-Kent-Leamington,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “His commitment to growing the local economy and his passion for rural communities have been pivotal in driving infrastructure improvements, supporting farmers, and attracting good-paying jobs to the area. Trevor is delivering on our promises to invest in the agricultural sector, expand healthcare services, and keep costs down for families. I’m confident he will continue to be a strong advocate for the people of Chatham-Kent—Leamington.”

Trevor and the Ontario PC Party will prioritize key issues in Chatham-Kent-Leamington, including investments in rural high-speed internet, expanding healthcare, boosting housing development, and driving job growth in agriculture and manufacturing. This includes backing Ontario’s $44 billion electric vehicle sector, including Stellantis in Windsor and Volkswagen in St. Thomas, bringing major economic benefits to the region.

“I am truly grateful for the trust and confidence the people of Chatham-Kent-Leamington have placed in me,” said Jones. “Representing this community is a privilege. As we move forward, my focus remains on delivering results, whether it’s expanding healthcare, standing with our farmers, or getting more homes built. I’m dedicated to advocating for the needs of our residents and working to ensure that Chatham-Kent-Leamington continues to grow and prosper.”
